The mountain peaks are white

8. October 2018

The mountain peaks in Tyrol are white. The leaves are coloring. The air is cold.
These are all signs that winter is approaching rapidly.

This makes me excited and the anticipation of the season get´s stronger.
Especially this year in the year of the World Championships back home in the Olympiaregion Seefeld.

The Summer Grands Prix are over.
The last competition in Hinzenbach was a good indicator, to see where I stand currently.
There is still room for improvement for me. I need a bit more time.
Therefore I will use the last pre-season sessions well in the upcoming weeks.

There is a good and intense summer behind and an intense autumn ahead of me.
The previous changes and the input I received need now more time to show its effects.
I compare this to a garden, in which you sow a seed:
It takes time for the seeds to germinate, the roots to spread, the plant to start growing and unfold.
I have laid the foundation for full development. Now it's my task to constantly and consistently take care that the "GS plant" continues to develop well and develop full force right up to the World Cup.

We also saw evidence that our whole team is improving. The latest results at the Continental Cup in Stams and Hinzenbach show that things are going up.

Unfortunately, the last stop of the Summer Grands Prix had to be “blown off” in the truest sense of the word. Klingenthal was still worth a visit. We completed 3 jumps. Currently, every jump counts.

Besides the competitions, there is also a lot going on:
It's cool that not only our coaching team is new, but also that we have a new team sponsor who believes in us.
The company Hargassner Heiztechnik is an Austrian traditional company that now graces our team clothing.

Generally, my calendar is currently pretty full. We have many media events, interviews, intensive training courses, season preparations and much more.
At the beginning of November, the entire team will go to Sweden for snow preparation.

That's why it's still the last days in fall to enjoy, to use and to be fully in the here and now!
